Winter build time.

It's that time of year again and I'm writing this as a reminder to myself not to go crazy all at once. My 96 Paseo is burning and leaking oil, so it is the perfect excuse to swap the engine. I will be swapping in a 4efte, but I will be using my 5efe DIS head and components. That will make my car turbo powered, but with all the convience of keeping my distributorless ignition and OBDII. I'm serious about not changing a distributor cap or rotor ever again. This will make my car able to pass emissions in just about any state but that eco-communist one out west, lol.

I'm going to start the swap with bare essentials. The 4efte with the DIS parts to make it work, a Synapse Engineering Missing Link, modify the third runner on the stock turbo manifold, and an exhaust to match up. Besides the boost gauge, the Scan Gauge II, manual boost controller, and whatever else I need, that will be all! I will modify for power later, but the point of this is to show and document the best and cheapest way to do a turbo build on a OBDII car for a beginner. This is my daily driver, so I figured a quick, easy, working swap would be best. From there, I will install a few parts at a time and install them on the weekends like everybody else would do. I will use a G-Tech Pro to show improvements and when finally done, make one big PDF for you all to keep at home. Sounds nice doesn't it? No need to thank me or anything. Lol, but first, I need to seriously clean my car and do something about the appearence of my interior. Until later!
